Super Bowl LIX: Here’s a peek at some commercials that will air during the big game

Harry meets Sally again and Matthew McConaughey tries to imitate “Da Coach” of “Da Bears.” Throw in Doja Cat, Martha Stewart, Post Malone and Shaboozey, and Super Bowl LIX will have a glittering array of star power during Sunday’s commercial breaks.

And don’t forget the Clydesdales.

The Super Bowl is more than a game. Many viewers are not interested in the on-the-field action but are rabid fans of commercials.

With more than 120 million viewers expected to tune in when the Kansas City Chiefs meet the Philadelphia Eagles on Super Sunday, veteran advertisers are pulling out all the stops. Some of the ads are costing companies up to $8 million for a 30-second spot, USA Today reported.

“This is a societal moment where we come together as a country,” said Kimberly Whitler, marketing professor at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, told The Associated Press. “We may be on different sides, you know, of the gridiron or the field. But we come together.”

Anheuser-Busch has bought 3 1/2 minutes of advertising time to tout four of their biggest brands, USA Today reported. And of course, the Clydesdales return for what Kyle Norrington, Anheuser-Busch’s chief commercial officer, said was the 47th Super Bowl ad featuring the iconic horses.

“We hear from our fans that Super Bowl is just not the same without the iconic Clydesdales,” says Norrington. “(First Delivery) reinforces that we’ve been delivering since 1876 and will continue for decades to come.”

Here is a look at some of the ads that will be playing during the game.

Budweiser: First Delivery

This 88-second spot features a Clydesdale foal who shows his keeper that he’s ready for a chance to join the pack.

“We hear from our fans that Super Bowl is just not the same without the iconic Clydesdales,” Norrington told USA Today. “(First Delivery) reinforces that we’ve been delivering since 1876 and will continue for decades to come.”

Hellmann’s: Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan

We’ll have what she’s having.

Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal reprise their characters from the 1993 film “When Harry Met Sally.” The couple is having lunch when Ryan seems not to be enjoying her sandwich. That is, until she douses it with Hellmann’s mayonnaise and her excitement is obvious.

“This one’s real,” Crystal notes as Ryan continues to um, yell.

“Now that is a sandwich,” she says.

“Euphoria” actress Sydney Sweeney chimes in at the end to utter the movie’s famous line: “I’ll have what she’s having.”

Uber Eats

Matthew McConaughey puts forth a conspiracy theory in one spot that football was invented to sell food. There are cameos by Martha Stewart, Greta Gerwig, Kevin Bacon and Charli XCX.

In a second ad, the actor even dresses up like former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka, albeit a slimmer version, as he shouts “Da Bears” at a mirror.

Bud Light: Post Malone

Malone has been nominated for 18 Grammy Awards through the years, but he has also been a staple in Bud Light advertising. In this spot, the rapper who grew up in Grapevine, Texas, honors his suburban Dallas roots by hosting a cul-de-sac party with comedian Shane Gillis. Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning also makes an appearance, teaming with Malone for the second straight year.

Taco Bell: Doja Cat

Doija Cat tries her best to photobomb customers in a Taco Bell drive-thru, but a worker at the fast-food restaurant is not having it.

“For the last time, no famous people,” the worker yells at the Grammy Award-winning rapper.

“I wanna be in this ad,” Doja Cat responds. “Come onnnnn ...”

Nerds: Shaboozey

The rapper-songwriter-producer pays tribute to the Big Easy, singing “What a Wonderful World” as he strolls through New Orleans’ fabled French Quarter with a large Nerds candy figure.

Dunkin’: Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck, Jeremy Strong

The DunKings are back after debuting during last year’s Super Bowl. This year, Ben Affleck and Casey Affleck enlist the help of fellow Massachusetts native Jeremy Strong. The method actor was up to his neck in beans, telling Ben Affleck that “You’re from Boston, I’m from Boston, Dunkin’ is Boston.”

“How long is it gonna take for the bean method,” Ben Affleck asks.

“I’ll be ready in like three hours,” Strong answers.

“You should have paid for Matt (Damon),” Casey Affleck says.

“I told you that,” Ben Afflecks retorts.

Dunkin’ has secured the first advertising spot after the opening kickoff, according to the AP.

Michelob UItra: Catherine O’Hara, William Dafoe

“I smell Ultra,” Dafoe says as he and O’Hara hustle unwitting younger opponents for Michelob Ultra on the pickleball court.

The Ultra Hustle shows the pair winning glasses of Ultra from Sabrina Ionescu, Randy Moss, and Ryan Crouser.

“You know we’re professional athletes, right?” Moss says.

“What sport?” O’Hara asks after rifling a shot down the middle between Moss and his partner.

Totino’s Pizza Rolls: Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson

Comedian-actors Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson will star in the first Super Bowl ad for General Mills in more than a decade. It is also the first time a Totino’s product will be advertised during the big game.

Coors Light: Timothy Simon

Here is the most compelling reason to make the Monday after the Super Bowl a national holiday.

Some of the companies making their Super Bowl debut include Instacart, Häagen-Dazs,
