In 2024, Meghan Trainor launched her first tour in seven years and took her whole family on the road with her, including hubby Daryl Sabara, their two sons, Barry and Riley, her brother Ryan and her BFF Chris Olsen  the latter two were among the opening acts. Ryan tells ABC Audio there's one thing that really impressed him about watching his sister in action and it had nothing to do with her performance.

"She stays in supermom mode, even on the road," Ryan says. "She's up with the kids at 7 every day. I was just, like, stuck in my hotel bed till noon. I was exhausted and all I was doing was just DJ'ing. ... She's incredible."

One song Meghan performed every night was her current hit "Criminals," and Ryan and Chris credit the song's success to the popularity of the Netflix show that uses it as its theme song.

"Yeah, Perfect Couple definitely helped," Ryan says, referring to the hit Nicole Kidman series. "But also, the song is a banger." Which is why it's surprising that Meghan originally thought she would never release it — Ryan says she actually shelved it for a while.

Chris adds, "I remember when she first told me that it was going to be used [for the show] and she was like, 'I almost thought about not using the song for anything.' But I'm so glad it got to see the light of day thanks to the Netflix show."

Now that touring is done, Ryan confirms that the large Trainor family will be together for the holidays, a gathering he describes by using the title of Meghan's holiday album.

"Yeah, every year is A Very Trainor Christmas," he says. "We got the cousins and it's a great time — decompress. Be with the family. Great food."
