Officers are ramping up enforcement along South Memorial Drive in Tulsa after a jump in crime, according to Tulsa police.

We’re told there’s been an up-tick in assaults, drugs, and reckless driving in the area.

Friday night alone, police told KRMG they wrote 18 trespassing citations and made two drug arrests at the Sonic at 48th and Memorial.

The crowd ranged in age from 16-47. Parents of the juveniles were called to take their children home

Officers said one individual attempted to conceal 10 bags of cocaine in his underwear as he was booked into jail. He was charged with carrying a prohibited substance into a jail.

Police told KRMG tickets were also written for reckless driving and drag racing.

The extra enforcement is expected to remain for the coming weeks.
