Tulsa homicide detectives investigated the city’s latest homicide Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Tulsa police said Randy Byers was found dead with a gunshot wound to the upper torso in a home near 49th St. N. and Garrison Pl. around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.
We’re told investigators quickly developed their suspects and camped out near the Edenwood Apartments and pulled over a white Dodge Caliber.
Police said Jermaijjah Powell was driving and Christon Anderson was in the passenger seat. We’re told weapons were found in the car.
According to jail records, Anderson was arrested for murder and Powell was arrested as an an accessory after the fact.
This is the 78th homicide of the year in Tulsa.
