While meeting the press Monday at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans ahead of the Super Bowl, Travis Kelce found himself answering questions not about the Chiefs' chances, but about whether or not he plans to propose to Taylor Swift.
As previously reported, at least one betting site is offering odds on Travis popping the question if the Chiefs win on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. According to Sports Illustrated, during the press conference, Travis was asked if he was going to be giving anyone special a ring. He played dumb, replying, "Anyone special? A Super Bowl ring? Next question."
Then someone asked if he planned to propose. "Man, back-to-back, you guys are crazy,” Kelce said. “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
While he wouldn't answer that question, Travis did talk about Taylor a bit, raving about her homemade Pop-Tarts, and noting that they both like the "manifest" things. "You can't say it's not real because we're here, right?" he smiled, referring to the big game. "So whatever she was doing, I'm sure it helped."
He also noted, in reference to both their jobs, "I better hold up my end of the bargain. She's up there being the superstar that she is and never taking no for an answer and always working her tail off. I better match that energy for sure."
It's likely that Taylor and her family will be cheering Travis on at the game on Sunday.
