The Black Eyed Peas cancel Las Vegas residency 'in light of current circumstances'

Live Nation Las Vegas/Caesars Entertainment

The Black Eyed Peas were supposed to start their Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in February, but the series of shows has been scrapped.

The group wrote on their Instagram Story, "It is with a heavy heart that, in light of current circumstances, our Las Vegas shows will not be moving forward as planned."

Noting that full refunds will be issued automatically, the group says, "Stay tuned for updates on future performances by following us — we can't wait to see you again."

The group didn't explain what "circumstances" they were referring to.

The shows, called Black Eyed Peas: 3008 The Las Vegas Residency, were to have featured group members will.i.am, Apl.de.Ap, Taboo and J. Rey Soul, as well as an artificial intelligence entity called Vida. The group was going to play 15 dates through February, March and May.
