Last year, popcorn buckets became a must-have when attending the latest movie premiere, especially since they were centered around that weekends Blockbuster release.
From the popcorn casket offered at Nosferatu screenings to the popcorn lantern offered at Wicked screenings, movie theater attendees couldn’t get enough which is why for National Popcorn Day, Cinemark Theatres is changing things up.
On Sunday, January 19, for one day only, movie attendees can bring their own bucket, as long as it’s clean and sanitized and can hold popcorn.
When you bring your own bucket, you’ll get basically the size of two extra-large popcorns (depending on how big your bucket is) for only $5!
NOTE: Your bucket can’t be more than 400 oz, which is about 3 gallons. Cinemark Theatres does have the right to deny your bucket if they decide it’s unsafe to use.
